Über Stadium World Map 🏟️

Stadium World Map gathers the great stadiums and arenas of the world — football grounds, athletics tracks, cricket ovals and multi-purpose arenas — into one map for fans and groundhoppers.

Each stadium comes from OpenStreetMap's `leisure=stadium` tag and is kept current by the mapping community. Fixtures, tours and public access are set by each venue, so check directly before planning a visit.

Wer steckt hinter dieser Seite?

Stadium World Map wird von Emil Björk gebaut und gepflegt, einem unabhängigen Entwickler aus Schweden. Die Seite entstand aus einer Leidenschaft für Karten, Reisen und offene Daten; beruflich kommt er aus der IT-Beratung.

So funktioniert es

Every point is fetched from the OpenStreetMap Overpass API, deduplicated, tagged by country and stored as a static GeoJSON file — no database, instant to load. Click any point to see a description from Wikipedia, a photo from Wikimedia Commons (or Mapillary as a fallback) and, where available, its Google rating.

Aktualität der Daten

The dataset is automatically refreshed once a month from OpenStreetMap via a scheduled GitHub Action, so the map stays current as the world is mapped.
